Anime Zero Second Weapon Slot: What Players Keep Missing

Understand Anime Zero weapon slots, Equip versus Lock, and the questions players ask, with dated gameplay screenshots and original comment links.

Why check your second weapon before another roll?

A second weapon you already own may be more useful than another summon. Ashira RBX recommends filling both combat slots before a run; D1SGUISED also calls the second slot an early priority. Their advice is a reason to inspect your loadout, rather than a promise that buying every extra slot improves damage.

The confusion is real. Under Ashira’s video, @DRACO-Y12 asks how to put a weapon in a slot, while @IbeWilin asks how to spin in the second slot. Equipping, unlocking storage, and rolling are different actions; those questions should not get the same answer.

What does the weapon screen actually show?

Look for the equipped portraits and the buttons beside owned weapons. D1SGUISED’s 8:08 frame shows two portraits at the upper left, an Equip button, Equipped labels, and separate Lock buttons. It also shows another locked card lower down. A padlock on that lower card is not evidence that both combat slots are empty.

What you see What to check
Two portraits near the upper left Identify the pair currently equipped.
Equip beside an owned weapon Check whether that weapon is selected for your intended slot.
Equipped beside a weapon Inspect the equipped pair before trying to equip it again.
Lock beside a weapon Keep this separate from the Equip action. The screenshot alone does not establish every protection rule.
A padlocked card with a price Read its own purchase description; do not assume every card is a combat-slot upgrade.

Should you buy the slot mentioned in the video?

Read the current purchase prompt before paying. D1SGUISED says the second slot costs 25,000 in his recording; Ashira’s skill-tree footage also shows a locked card marked $25K. However, neither excerpt follows a fresh account through that purchase and proves how its inventory and combat slots change afterward.

That gap matters if you already have two weapons equipped. Spending on an additional locked card may solve a storage problem rather than the combat problem you came here to fix. This review therefore does not publish a universal “buy this card to unlock dual wielding” sequence. Check the label and resulting slot state in your client first.

How should you prepare the pair for a run?

Use two recognizable weapons and confirm the game’s switch prompt before entering a harder stage. Ashira explains that weapons can be switched during a match. Start with a manageable run and check that you can identify which kit is active, rather than changing several upgrades and losing track of what helped.

Before queueing:

  1. Inspect the equipped portraits.
  2. Read the selected weapon’s name and available equip action.
  3. Open its skill tree and check for unused tokens.
  4. In a learning run, follow the on-screen switch control and confirm the other weapon appears.

The skill-tree guide compares two players’ upgrade preferences. Use the weapon comparison when choosing a kit, and the codes page for redemption information rather than copying a dated video’s code list.

Does the footage answer second-slot rolling and synergy?

Not completely. The viewer’s second-slot rolling question is not resolved by an observed reply or demonstration in this review. @CiDEAai also asks how synergy works. A displayed synergy label does not prove all pair combinations or whether a particular roll replaces a stored weapon.

Before this becomes a current-client walkthrough, we need to verify the slot purchase, slot selection during rolls, replacement behavior, and one actual weapon switch. Until then, the useful takeaway is narrower: inspect what is equipped before spending resources to fix an unclear slot problem.

Where can you watch the original demonstrations?

Watch the relevant segments alongside the screenshot. Ashira’s October 1 guide discusses the equipped pair at 0:59–1:06; D1SGUISED’s October 6 guide discusses the second slot at 8:00–8:25. The linked comments above are individual questions, not evidence of a universal bug.
